Sophie and Susanne had both spent years struggling with chronic vaginal infections. Then, over lunch one day, somehow it came up, and it was such a relief to finally have a person to talk to. We supported each other in our healing journeys, and finally managed to heal.
So we started the Facebook group Fittlife — fitt means pussy in Swedish. People told us it was a silly idea. That nobody would discuss these things publicly. 10 years, podcasts, newspapers and social media later, here we are.
What started as two women talking over lunch grew into Sweden's largest community for intimate health — and became part of a much bigger shift in how women talk about their bodies.
Conversations that once felt impossible suddenly became normal.
We helped change parts of the conversation in Sweden.
But we don't think the conversation is finished. Stigma and shame still cause unnecessary suffering, and prevent up to 1 in 3 women from seeking help.

50,000+ women have shared their experiences, questions and knowledge with us. But there is still so much more to be done — from gaps in women’s health research and knowledge to continued stigma, and the things women are still told to simply live with.
Now, for the first time, we're sharing the methodology behind how Sophie and Susanne healed. 20 years symptom-free.
It's our holistic approach to healing, built from our own experiences, ten years of conversations with our community, and everything we've learned along the way.
Because sometimes the physical symptom is only part of the story. We believe real change can happen when we look beyond the physical — at the body, the mind, the emotions, the nervous system and everything that shapes how we experience our health.

This is the next chapter of Fittlife.
Same mission. Bigger vision.
No wellness fluff, no shame — just the things worth knowing.
Let's work together. Have something good for women's intimate health? We would love to hear from you. Questions, press and collabs welcome too — Susanne or Sophie will get back to you asap.

Our free guide to breaking the cycle of recurring infections, plus the weekly email where we decode the research.
Tell us what you're after and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
